Daily TelegraphTelegraph Book Club : Introduction by Alan O'Cain

Throughout 2011 I was one of seven members of the Daily Telegraph Book Club. Each month we discussed a different book. Our debate was reported on weekly by Telegraph journalist Genevieve Fox. The twelve artworks on display in this exclusive interactive virtual exhibition are my creative responses to those twelve titles - "art as literary criticism". Use the sub-menu (left) to navigate through the works (note: some pages contain sound). The books I liked and the books I loathed should be clear, but one thing is certain, our group was never in agreement about the turkeys and the masterpieces.

With thanks (or apologies!) to all authors chosen for the inspiration.
